Scotland’s Tartan Day ambassador

In so many different ways, we have given much to the world, and I am personally delighted to be part of the Tartan Week events that showcase the best of contemporary Scotland. I hope to see it grow from strength to strength in the coming years so that our families and friends can see April 6th as a great day for Scotland in the global community.

Comment: Celtic Rally and Tartan Tally event here in Seaside, Oregon USA for this year. A brief introduction to the story of Tartan Day followed by a partial reading of The Declaration of Arbroath. We're are going to see how many we can gather wearing some sort of Tartan cloth, for a group picture. We're hoping to be the Western most Tartan Day event in America. Alba Gu Brath!

Comment: Descended from a long line of loyal Scots. The most recent of which was my Gran who was born and raised in Rosslyn Scotland....She married after the war, moved to Canada, had five children (now deceased) and some grandchildren of whom i am one. My dream is to come and explore Scotland. In the meantime I love Scottish music, dance, food, games, festivals, etc etc. This is the first time I have heard of this site and it is thanks to the local newspaper, The Vancouver Sun, who did alarge article on Tartan Day and your website. I am looking forward to exploring this site in depth.
