Dundee, the City of Discovery set on the banks of the River Tay is the jewel of North East of Scotland.
The city is a hotbed of talent covering everything from mainstream theatre to niche arts, drama and music festivals.
Dundee Contemporary Arts, visited by over 300,000 annually has attracted exhibitions by many of most important artists of the day. Dundee boasts the Caird Hall, one of the finest concert venues in Scotland and the Dundee Rep Theatre.
Dundee is home to award winning tourist attractions such as RRS Discovery; HM Frigate Unicorn, the oldest wooden war ship still afloat; Jute Mill Museum, Verdant Works and Sensation Science Centre. The city has some of the world's premier golf leisure destinations such as the Old Course at St Andrews and Carnoustie on its doorstep.

Tartan Week Women's Heritage Walk

Walking tour led by Kate Armstrong of some of the sites of Dundee's newest trail, The Dundee Women's Heritage Trail. The walk will be from the Agnes Husband plaque in City Square visiting some of the other sites around the City Centre which will give you an insight into the lives of some of the historic women of Dundee.

Tartan Week Lunchtime Recital

The Friends of Wighton present guest artist traditional singer and guitarist Ewen Sutherland. With a warm mellow voice and an extensive repertoire of traditional and contemporary Scottish song his music has taken him round Europe and America working with some of Scotland's finest performers including Pete Clark, the late Gordon Duncan and Sheena Wellington.
Ewan is a member of the Gallivanters Ceilidh Band and The Keekin Gless, among his claims to fame is that he taught the great Dougie MacLean to play the guitar!
